Our History & Mission

Founded in 2000 and officially registered in 2007, the Human Welfare Organization (HWO) is a non-political NGO headquartered in Sylhet, Bangladesh. Our mission is to build resilience and self-reliance among marginalized communities.

Under the leadership of our founder, Dr. Suramoni Singha, we have evolved into a multidimensional development ecosystem. We believe that true development requires a holistic approach—combining health, education, economic empowerment, and environmental sustainability.

Who We Serve

  • Rural families lacking access to basic services.
  • Tea garden workers seeking better health and economic outcomes.
  • Indigenous populations, including the Manipuri communities.
